We’re excited you’re interested in this role. Before you move forward, make sure you’re genuinely up for a high-intensity environment: we now often work six days a week and spend a lot of time on-site with clients. Who we are
Enterprise teams still copy data between systems all day. Work gets stuck in emails, legacy UIs, and handoffs. That chaos is costly, slow, and risky.
We’re a fast-moving team on a mission to end it for good. Traction is strong and we’re solving real problems for real customers—but to win, we need exceptional talent. We stay humble, do the work, and let results speak.
What we are building
We’re building the post-RPA Agentic Automation Platform for enterprises—a horizontal platform where AI agents execute end-to-end work across UIs and APIs with governance built in.
Where copilots stop, duvo finishes the job. Business users specify the outcome; agents plan, act, request approvals on exceptions, and learn with every run. We start with a retail wedge (category management, supply chain, finance ops) where ROI is obvious, then expand to adjacent functions and sectors.
Velocity is our moat: ship fast, iterate faster, compound learning.
The role
Forward Deployed Engineers are the “founders of Duvo” inside 2–3 key retail accounts. You sit with users, watch how work really happens, design agents, and then drive expansion across teams and workflows. You are measured on impact: live automations, hours saved, and ARR growth in your accounts, not on shipping one-off proofs of concept.
This role mixes:
Hands-on building of AI agents and workflows
Deep process work in retail operations
Sales engineering and value storytelling with senior stakeholders
Management consulting-style problem solving and change management
You spend a lot of time with customers, including being on-site around three days per week.
What you’ll do
-
Act as “Duvo founder” inside 2–3 retailers
Map where time, errors and friction really are in category, merchandising, supply chain and finance ops
Turn vague pain points into sharp, automatable workflows and business cases
-
Build and iterate AI agents
Use Duvo’s agent engine (UI + API + voice) to automate real work across ERPs, spreadsheets, portals and emails
Design guardrails, approvals and audit trails so IT and business both trust the agents
Spend more time prompting, configuring and testing than writing complex code
-
Prove value fast
Run focused 2–8 week pilots, get at least one workflow to production, and show a believable hours-saved and ROI story
Define and track simple metrics: hours saved, error reduction, cycle time, incremental margin/bonus
-
Drive expansion
Build an expansion thesis per account: which teams next, what value story, which workflows
Partner with our AE as the technical and process owner in deals: discovery, demos, solution design and success metrics
Sell additional usage internally at the client by telling clear, credible stories of value
-
Own the last mile
Sit with users as agents go live, fix edge cases, smooth the UX, and standardise “how we work with agents” in each team
Ensure agents stay healthy as systems, data and organisations change
What we’re looking for
You do not need to come from retail, but you should be excited to get your hands dirty in real operations and real systems.
Experience
4+ years in one or more of:
Forward-deployed / solutions / sales engineering
Product or software engineering with heavy customer exposure
Management consulting or operations transformation
Ops / analytics roles in retail, ecommerce, marketplaces, supply chain or finance
Plus:
Comfortable working across messy stacks: ERPs, spreadsheets, internal tools, APIs and browser UIs
You’ve led at least one complex project end-to-end with real business outcomes, not just code shipped or slides delivered
You are comfortable with building agents using prompts and agentic features, and understand basic level of technical aspect of it
Skills and mindset
High agency and high urgency: you see problems and move, without waiting for permission
Strong systems thinking: you can deconstruct a vague “margin leakage” problem into concrete workflows and data flows
Hands-on builder: you are happy configuring agents, writing prompts and logic, and debugging real environments
Structured thinker: you can frame problems, options and trade-offs in a way senior stakeholders can act on
Communicator: you can explain choices to a category manager, an IT lead and a CFO in plain language
Commercial awareness: you think in hours saved, margin impact and ARR, not just features
Comfortable on-site: you like sitting next to users, watching their screen, and iterating live 2–3 days per week
Nice to have
Background in grocery / non-food retail, FMCG, marketplaces or logistics
Experience with any of: Python, SQL, modern data stacks, or automation/RPA tools
Worked with ERPs (SAP, MS Dynamics, NetSuite, custom) or retail systems (PIM, WMS, promotion and pricing tools)
Built or deployed LLM-based agents or workflow automations before
How we work
Our culture principles are simple: high agency and urgency, customer first, growth is everyone’s job, high standards with zero ego, and one team.
In practice that means:
You own outcomes in your accounts; if something is stuck, you unblock it
We argue hard about the work, not about status
Everyone helps with growth: references, stories, learnings and design partners
We default to sharing context, docs and learnings openly
What we offer
A smart, motivated team that values ownership and candor.
The chance to shape both product and culture while working on cutting-edge AI challenges.
Real impact—your work will ship to customers and move the business.
Competitive compensation, including equity
You can trade compensation for equity
If you want to build AI agents that actually run the work – and you like the idea of being the person who makes that real inside large retailers – we’d like to talk.
How we hire
First round interviews (on-site or remote) - Meet the team, walk through your past work, and discuss how you build.
Trial day (on-site or remote). Show us how you would do real discovery at clients side, ship your first agent to production and present the solution to the client.
