We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Data Products team. In this key role, you'll help to enhance Distribusion's data product and develop new ones executing on our innovation strategy. The Data Team scope is very diverse. It spans over internal Data Platform and goes into customer facing products. The team works with ML, big data algorithms, forecasting and GenAI. The Data Platform handles hundreds of missions of events and currently has the widest and largest collection of data in the ground transportation domain. You will work with a talented team of data engineers and scientists and contribute towards our products portfolio expansion and team growth. Your focus will be on enhancements of existing products and the development of new strategic initiatives through meticulous research. You will ensure that our product maintains the highest standards of quality and functionality across all possible scenarios and will directly affect the company’s margin.

What you will do:

  • Define short-term (sprint), mid-term (quarterly) roadmaps and long term vision of the data products, ensuring alignment of stakeholders and the organization regarding our objectives, to transform our platform into a world-class transportation marketplace

  • Take ownership of strategic projects within your Product end-to-end: define the business needs, develop user stories and requirements to ensure smooth delivery, and perform UAT to confirm that the delivery meets customer expectations

  • Monitor and act on metrics such as usage, adoption etc., that must be consistently met and remain competitive with other products available on the market

  • Effectively collaborate with various stakeholders (including extensive communication with the C-Level team and the CEO of a company).

  • Run adaptive Scrum process to ensure on-time delivery of the features by the Engineering team

  • Write user documentation to improve the usability of the system for internal & external users and establish the best integration experience on the market

Workplace: Berlin & Hybrid

We are mainly looking for this role to be based in Germany, preferably in our headquarters in Berlin.

We are a remote-first company, with teams located around the Globe and our HQ office in Berlin, where the team often meets in the office.

Job requirements


Who you are:

  • At least 5+ years of experience in the position of a Product Manager.

  • At least 5+ years of working with Data products (either as a Product Manager, or Data Scientist or Data Engineer).

  • Good understanding of data science, machine learning and common problems in the Data fields.

  • Understanding of both Engineering and Product management domains: You act as an Owner of the product and feel confident on the edge between the mentioned domains.

  • User-driven mindset: You can communicate metrics, user behavior & needs into business values and requirements for the product, including technical details.

  • Strong communication skills: You are confident in compromising with internal/external stakeholders, critically evaluating inputs, and collaborating with the Engineering team on bringing features live.

  • Ability to focus on finding solutions and drive improvements: You are pushing to improve processes in the team, product features that are delivered, and the quality of our product.

  • Understanding of Agile: You are proficient in using Scrum, managing iterative development, prioritizing work, and responding to changing requirements.

As a plus:

  • Data Science or Engineering experience.

  • Experience in the travel industry, pricing prediction products or Machine Learning.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Cybernetics, Engineering or equivalent field
