Analytics Engineer (all genders)
Distribusion Technologies
Job description
Distribusion is the world’s leading ground transportation marketplace and gives travelers seamless access to ground transportation online, from search to ticket purchase. We have built a cutting-edge B2B technology platform that connects bus, rail, and ferry operators in 70+ countries with the biggest online retailers, including Google Maps and Booking.com.
We are shaping the future of travel and building the largest global network of transport providers and retailers. We are one of the fastest growing startups in travel, backed by two leading VCs (TQ Ventures & Lightrock), and now, following our recent $80m Series C funding, we are ready to push beyond.
We're looking for a talented Analytics Engineer who thrives in solving complex, challenging problems with large volumes of high-velocity data. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of pioneering the ground transportation industry, tackling problems that few have approached before. You'll see the direct impact of your work quickly, with millions of end users experiencing the results of your efforts within days or even hours.
As part of our Data team, you will play a critical role in driving data-driven growth by transforming data into actionable insights for both internal and external users. You'll have end-to-end ownership of analytical reports, building and optimising data pipelines, conducting research to develop key metrics, and ensuring easy access to data products. Ultimately, you’ll help shape the future of ground transportation by delivering and supporting innovative data solutions.
What you will do:
Build new Looker dashboards from scratch within tight deadlines (e.g., within a day).
Become an expert on our data lake, understanding where data resides, its origins, and how it's processed.
Identify and propose improvements to the Data Platform's reporting, focusing on creating easier-to-understand and faster-to-build reports.
Quickly grasp the context of projects, identifying what’s essential and what might be missing to move forward effectively.
Pay close attention to detail, ensuring all outputs are accurate through rigorous double- and triple-checking.
Anticipate future challenges by thinking ahead and evaluating the long-term impact of decisions.
Work autonomously, leveraging available resources like Google and AI tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT) to solve problems and run experiments before seeking external input.
We are mainly looking for this role to be based within Germany, preferably in our HQ in Berlin. However, we are a remote-first company, with teams located around the Globe and open for talent based elsewhere.
