Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end product ownership: partner with Product, Data, and Design teams to lead complex projects from architecture through deployment while maintaining enterprise-grade security and compliance

• Drive data-driven experiences: transform complex clinical data into intuitive and discoverable experiences for a variety of internal and external stakeholders

• Shape engineering culture: establish and champion engineering best practices across cross-disciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, advocate for architectural decisions

• AI-leveraged Engineering: leverage LLMs to accelerate tasks like UI development, document creation, code review, synthetic/test data generation

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years with a track record of leading complex projects

• Self-starter and ability to drive impact with minimal high level direction

• Expert programming skills in React and Javascript/Typescript

• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

• Experience with distributed systems and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Solid understanding of data architecture, APIs, and data-intensive systems (distributed datastores, data warehouses/lakes, big data processing that handles structured datasets)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HIPAA or other compliance-heavy industries

• Background in data and analytics

• Technical Skills:

• Frontend: Javascript/Typescript, React, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, mobile (react native, progressive web apps, native mobile)

• Backend: API and database design/optimization, data modelling, microservice architectures, data security and privacy

• Data: Apache Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake, Databricks, Looker

• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP

• Automation: Gitlab CI, Github Actions

• Monitoring: Datadog, Prometheus, CloudWatch
