About the Role
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for supporting critical building systems that enable smooth and safe operations across our facility. This includes performing preventative maintenance, responding to emergency repairs, and managing a range of mechanical and electrical systems including HVAC units, UPS systems, generators, switch gear, and fire protection systems.
This is a 3rd shift position, working midnight to 8/9 AM on a rotating schedule:
- Week 1: On Monday, off Tuesday, on Wednesday and Thursday, off Friday through Sunday
- Week 2: On Monday through Wednesday, off Thursday, on Friday through Sunday
Flexibility is required, as some days may alternate depending on business needs.
About the Team
You’ll join a skilled and supportive Facilities Operations team responsible for maintaining a high standard of building performance, safety, and reliability. The team collaborates closely with various departments and external contractors to maintain uninterrupted facility operations while ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety guidelines.
You will be responsible for:
- Performing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on building systems and equipment.
- Logging equipment data, conducting chemical readings, and replacing filters and motors.
- Maintaining and repairing HVAC, electrical, UPS, and generator systems.
- Identifying issues proactively and recommending cost-effective resolutions.
- Ensuring safety and compliance with internal protocols and industry standards.
- Stocking, organizing, and maintaining tools, supplies, and inventory.
- Collaborating with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance needs.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and completing additional assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or engineering.
- Technical degree, vocational training, or certified industry training (or equivalent experience).
- CFC certification is a plus.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, UPS, ATS, switch gear, and generators.
- Skilled in using both manual and power tools.
- Ability to multitask, troubleshoot effectively, and make sound decisions.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to safe work practices.
